Destiny 2 “Variable” steps to get Vexcalibur

Vexcalibur is an Exotic introduced in Destiny 2‘S sunlight Season of Defiance expansion pack.

Vexcalibur is a new craftable Exotic Void Glaive available to those with a season that grants you and your allies additional shields when blocking with your weapon. To unlock the quest that gives you the weapon, you first need to solve a small puzzle in the Gulch area of ​​the EMS. As you complete the puzzle, you’ll unlock a new secret Avalon mission that will grant you a new glaive.

The steps to get Vexcalibur in Destiny 2 are as follows:

  1. Investigate Gulch in the EMS where the Guardians have reported anomalous objects.
  2. Follow in digital footsteps.
  3. Investigate the Vex network node in EMS and discover its secrets. (Play the mission “Avalon” //node.ovrd.AVALON//.)
  4. Bring an object from the Vex network to the war table for analysis.

The mission at the end of this quest has a power level of 1800, otherwise the mission is quite easy to complete.

How to start “Variable” in Destiny 2

You start this quest by completing the code in Gulch. This requires collecting six code snippets, we’ll cover each of the locations below.

Finding nodes in Gulch EMS

There are six code snippets to collect. You have 30 seconds between each pickup to get to the next one. The order in which we have listed them below is the order in which we suggest you pick them up.

1. You will first track to the top of the hill next to the Cabal gear.

2. Turn around, you will find another trace under the bridge.

3. The third trace is in the trees on the hill opposite the first trace.

4. The fourth trace is in the blind spot of the area among the group of trees.

5. From the fourth trace, look at the big Cabal door, the fifth trace is directly to the right on some trees.

6. Continue along the wall from the fifth mark and you’ll eventually see the sixth and final mark above the road signs.

Follow the trail to the cave to unlock the “Avalon” mission //node.ovrd.AVALON//

Go to the area near the third trace. Follow the path and you will see a cave on your left. Enter the cave and reach the harpy to start the //node.ovrd.AVALON// mission. When you start a mission this way, it will be available in the EMS in the director.

Please note that after obtaining Vexcalibur from the second week, there are a few things you need to do – including unlocking the Authorization Override mod, M1R II’s internal Distribution Matrix, and the Immovable Overhaul trait. Let us now analyze them in turn.

How to get authorization override for Vexcalibur

After obtaining Vexcalibur, you will receive the quest “Vexcalibur: Revoke Authorization”. This is a short quest where you have to kill Vex with a glaive. Upon completion, you will receive an Authorization Override mod that you can put into Vexcalibur. This will allow you to pass through the barriers.

How to get the M1R II Distribution Matrix for Vexcalibur

Much like the Revision Zero, the Exotic Pulse Rifle introduced in Season of the Seraphim, this glaive will update its internals week by week, allowing you to craft it more and more to your liking. To unlock this first upgraded internal, you must first install the Authorization Override mod discussed above. Once you have this on your glaive, enter the Avalon mission on normal or legendary difficulty.
