Doctor Who reveals a new look at Millie Gibson as Ruby in series 14

Doctor Who hasn’t even aired his 60th Anniversary with David Tennant yet, but the folks behind the show have been busy sharing plenty of enticing pictures of Ncuti Gatwa and Millie Gibson in next year’s 14 series.

In the latest trio of photos, we see Gibson’s co-star Ruby Sunday wearing a Regency dress with accompanying gloves. This follows from recently released photos of Ruby and the Doctor dressed in full ’60s glam. It looks like fans of episodes set in Earth history will be eating well next year.

Former companion Karen Gillan, who played Amy Pond from 2010-2012, recently gave some advice to Gibson as she plays the Doctor’s best friend/beloved/brave young woman who helps out.

“Your life is about to turn upside down, but it’s … you know, just make sure you have all the people around you and your support system and just enjoy it,” she said.

“The most exciting thing is having adventures with the Doctor in the TARDIS. It’s like the best thing in the world!”

Gibson herself said when she was cast, “It’s a gift of the role and a dream come true, and I’ll do anything to try and fill the shoes that companions have traveled in before me.

“And what better way to do it than to be by the side of the great Ncuti Gatwa.”
