Love Island confirms one final twist before the finals

Love Island spoilers follow.

Friday (March 10) Love Island revealed the results of the compatibility vote, with three couples at risk of being dumped ahead of next week’s grand finale.

Ahead of the final dates, the islanders were told they would vote for the least compatible pair – z Jessie and Will, Ron and Lana AND Kai & Sanam all face the final public vote as the bottom three.

The islanders also discovered how many times they were voted for, with both Jessie and Will and Ron and Lana receiving two votes, while Kai and Sanam got one.

Of course, all the vulnerable islanders were curious to know who voted for them, taking the time to work out who might have voted for whom.

“I wish I knew the reason,” Lana said, adding that she and Ron had never been in the top three before.

“We’re both curious what little thing made people vote for us,” Ron later added at the beach house.

Viewers at home were also confused by the result, expressing their opinions on Twitter.

“Why does a couple have to go through a difficult time to be considered a real couple? How to kill this idea,” one person wrote.

While ex-Islander Dami Hope commented: “I’m sorry you just haven’t been through anything doesn’t mean you don’t fit in: /relationships have different journeys not daily struggles, love sometimes soft love”

The day wasn’t bleak for the islanders as Will and Jessie officially announced their relationship on a date.

Treated to an afternoon dance in the barn, the couple was able to reflect on their journey at the villa as well as show off their best dance moves. “You bring out the best side of me,” Jessie said before asking Will if he wanted to be her boyfriend.

Kai and Sanam were also invited to an epic last date, giving them the opportunity to bond beyond their ancestry and share the excitement of life outside the villa.

Love Island airs nightly on ITV2 and is available via catch-up on ITVX and BritBox.
