Love Island fans moved by ‘real’ Ron and Lana moment

Love Island spoilers follow.

Love Island fans loved the touching moment between Ron and Lana in tonight’s (February 26) episode where the pair officially became boyfriend and girlfriend.

In what was otherwise a fairly humble episode, Ron and Lana had a touching moment at the end of the episode where they officially announced their relationship.

“I didn’t think for a second that I’d meet someone as good as Lana,” Ron told the diary room before sitting down on the balcony to talk to Lana.

Ron and Lana sat down and talked about the reunion and Lana’s speech where she said she was “falling in love” with Ron. Lana explained that she wanted to say this in her speech to prove to Ron that she could talk openly about her emotions, something she had struggled with before.

“We know how we feel for a long time. We hold back from saying it. I know we’re talking about being stronger than ever. I don’t think anyone has come near us,” said Ron.

“I’ve never been in a relationship or anything like that, so it’s huge for me. We talked about being exclusive, but that’s not enough for me. I want the title. I want you to be my girlfriend I’m asking you will you be my girlfriend?”

Giggling and clearly happy, Lana immediately said yes and the two embraced.

Ron then stuck his head out of the balcony and announced the news to the rest of the Islanders, who cheered the new official couple. Lana then said at the beach house that the timing was perfect and Ron couldn’t have done it better.

Love Island viewers agreed with fans on social media, expressing how much they appreciated an adult, honest conversation that took place in a private manner, rather than a complicated moment that may have sounded fake.
