“Meg’s Monster”, “The Smile Alchemist” and other news and sales today – TouchArcade

Hello dear readers, and welcome to the SwitchArcade recap for March 2, 2023. It’s Thursday, and that means we have quite a few new releases to go through today. There’s no standout launch today, but there are a few games worth considering among other more dubious titles. We have summaries of all of them, as well as lists of new sales and expiring discounts. let’s continue!

New versions

Fitness Boxing Fist of the North Star ($49.99)

Well, it is one a way to spice up a series that was in danger of falling into a rut. This is Fitness boxingbut with a Fist of the North Star topic. You know, you’re already dead and all that. atatatatatatatatatatatabut without burning calories. I feel like all you need to know about it is the concept. Either you’re sold or you don’t rely on it, and nothing else I say will matter.

Dream Park Story ($14.00)

You know, it’s kind of funny that Kairosoft took as long as it took to get to the amusement park simulator. Perhaps it was too low-hanging fruit for the prolific publisher? Whatever the reason, all that matters is that he is here and now. And it certainly is Kairosoft’s take on the amusement park simulator. As always, I am obliged to inform you that you can get it in a cheaper and equally playable form on your mobile device. This one is here if you prefer to play on your Switch.

PowerWash Simulator Midgar Special Pack (Free)

Powerwash simulator cooperates with Final Fantasy VII to a special free DLC pack featuring iconic locations, vehicles and more from around the world Final Fantasy VII. Same as Tomb Raider pack, this one is free and available to all owners of the base game. Our buddy Mikhail is working on a review of this title, so stay tuned.

Monster Meg ($14.99)

Wow, this is something special. At first it seems like an ordinary RPG, but you’ll quickly realize that the main character, the mighty monster Roy, is virtually invincible. But his little friend Meg? When he gets angry and starts crying, very bad things happen. Very, Very evil things. So you have to resolve conflicts and other situations in such a way that Meg doesn’t shed tears. Why is Meg so powerful? Can Roy take her back to her mother before she destroys the world? I will write a review of this soon, but I really enjoyed it.

Arcade Archives Sky Kid Deluxe ($7.99)

Falling somewhere between the new version Sky Kid and continuation, Sky Kid Deluxe improves the graphics and sound while adding a few new levels, a few new enemies, and a few other little things. I don’t know what I think about this being a separate release from the original game, but it is what it is. if you like Sky Kidit is more or less the only game that plays similarly.

Smile Alchemist ($19.99)

Kemco’s latest item looks surprisingly like something new for the publisher. Well, not entirely new, but a break from the constant stream of vaguely separate turn-based RPGs. This one is an alchemist simulator and has the stuff you’d expect from it. Gather materials, fulfill requests, and so on. The main character wants to become the best alchemist in the world, and this is an admirable goal. Treat him gently, Ryza. It’s just a boy.

Live Factory ($14.99)

It’s a pretty standard platformer. It doesn’t quite feel like it should fetch the price it’s asking for, but I suppose the market will ultimately decide that. You explore an underground factory, jump around it and solve light puzzles along the way. If you want, you can try it for free on your mobile device.

Pretty girl breakers! Plus ($6.99)

Other Pretty girls game, this another swing at the idea of breaking bricks. Use your ray saber to send the ball into the bricks to remove them. Do well and the ladies will be naked. Not quite naked; this is no longer allowed in the eShop. But I suppose naked enough to serve that purpose.

Vanaris Tactics ($9.99)

It is a relatively short and light turn-based tactical RPG that is more than a little inspired by the likes of Final Fantasy tactics AND Ogre Tactics. It has a great story to tell, but not much time to tell it, and you can feel it. Still, I think there’s room for a lighter bite in this category, as most strategy RPGs are on the heavier side of the scale. For ten bucks, the price is pretty fair too. Certainly a decent competitor for the likes of Mercenaries Games.

Railway Islands Puzzle ($3.99)

Simple as possible. Here you have fifty stages to play through, and your goal in each stage is to rotate the tiles so that the trains can get to where they need to be. You’ve probably played something like this before, but if you’re just looking for puzzles to solve in a leisurely evening or three, it’s not a bad way to spend four bucks.

Chess Pills ($2.99)

It is a set of several thousand chess puzzles. You just have to find the best move to make, but you have very little time for that. So what’s with the pills in the title? They’re just little helpers. One stops time for ten seconds, and the other tells you where to move. Can’t argue with the quantity here for those who like chess puzzles.

Aery – Calm Mind 3 ($9.99)

Well, that’s more Aerie. There are about a dozen of them so far, so you probably already have some opinion about them. Absolutely nothing special about it, just a few new places to leisurely explore. Do what you want.

Trek Valley ($4.99)

Yes, Ultimate Games really seems to like the concept. Just take a walk in the woods and relax. I don’t know how many we need, but Ultimate seems to think it’s at least one more.

Midnight Drifter – Drift Racing Car Driving Simulator 2023 Speed Games ($4.99)

More Midnight Works garbage. It’s a terrible racing game that you have to play in handheld mode because Midnight Works didn’t bother to add button controls to this Android port. Save five.

Rider Among Dead – Mad Zombie Killer Machine Survival ($4.99)

Oh, we have a new trash challenger! Welcome, GOGAME CONSOLE PUBLISHER. I’m sure you’ve never heard of INSTAGAMEANDMARKETING, Midnight Works, VG Games, or any of the other idiots who dump effortless junk with ridiculous SEO titles into the eShop. But you wouldn’t know that by looking at this game, which is a bigger waste of five dollars than buying Scorpion King to HD DVD.

Turnover

(North American online store, US prices)

A surprisingly large inbox for this time of day and it makes me worry about what I’ll wake up with tomorrow. Anyway, some Dotemu games for sale. It’s always nice. Some PQube sales, though the prices aren’t as attractive as we’ve seen in other times. Little Noah it is at a new low price and I recommend it with all my heart. There’s not much to worry about in your outbox, but you can check this list once you’re at it.
