by Hello everyone and welcome to the week! We will once again take a look at the notable updates from the past seven days. It’s starting to feel like Saint Patrick’s Day. Well, at least updates look like this. However, not everything is green. I found a few other things to complete the list. Of course, you can follow the updates yourself by participating in the TouchArcade forums. This weekly roundup is here to keep you informed of things you may have missed. Let’s go for it!
Vampire survivors. Free Sometimes games are in this article because the update is super cool or the notes were fun. Other times they’re here because I like the game and just want to include it. Sometimes they’re here to help SEO, but don’t tell anyone I told you that. This one is a bit of the last two categories because it’s definitely not the first. Basically, this update adds cloud saves (yes!), push notifications (why?) and brings some bug fixes and general improvements. Vampire survivors: this is good.
Jetpack Joyride. Free Feels like it was last week’s issue. It was, right? Bling event? Well, time runs and makes fools of us. Barry Steakfries hasn’t missed St. Patrick’s Day yet, and he’s not going to start. In this special event you can get cool new gadgets like Celtic Lord Garb, Runestone Jetpack and Celtic Rune Dragon. Collect these shamrocks and see if you have the luck of the Irish. Otherwise, you’ll have to pull out your own pot of gold.
Subway surfers tagBoth Subway surfers games received updates last week and I’m going to put them here because it’s my party and I’ll do what I want. It looks like the main part of this update is a new character for your skater roster. Mysterious Miss Maia is making a scene and is ready to run in circles around the guard and take over the yard with her mighty Spinning Spray. You can get it in daily rewards along with a few other goodies. It seems okay.
Subway surfers. Free Well, here’s the weird thing. Usually Subway surfers they go to a real city or country, but this time they just go to an unspecified underwater location. Watch out for Namor, kids! Coral gets a redesign and a new outfit, and Noel also has some new dudes for the job. You can also take the ViperFish Board to swim in style, and if you need to get airborne, there are additional challenges in Greece, Subway City and Chang’an.
NBA 2K23 arcade editionThis was a big thing Apple pushed for Apple Arcade last week, and I don’t know how excited people were, but it seems like a pretty normal update to me. Basically, you have updated NBA teams and uniforms, bug fixes, and some extra top players of all time like Vince Carter, Donovan Mitchell, Lebron James, and Gary Payton. There are ten new GOATS in total, and none of them are goats. It’s a shame, but after a while I’ll get over it.
MinihighwaysOh, this is a great game. I’ll play it anytime and the new update is a great reason to fire it up again. What do we have here? Well, we have a new map in the form of Busan. Certainly a city with its own unique traffic challenges and a fun addition to the game. There are also new challenges across all categories and various bug fixes and other improvements. Since I like the game a lot and the new map is fun, I reward it with the coveted one UMMSotW This week’s reward. Well, it’s decided.
Chase beyond the horizon 2And this is another great game. These days, Apple Arcade may not be a thrill every week, but the existing library is quite nice. You know while it lasts. Head to the playground and you’ll be able to unlock special green paints to celebrate Saint Patrick’s Day. Get on it because it’s only for a limited time. There are some other changes and improvements, and a few bugs have been squashed really well. Not much, but that’s good. After all, not everyone will be big guys.
Galaga Wars+I haven’t thought about this game for a long time. I played it a lot free-to-play even though it was an amazing grind. This update seems significant as it adds a new mode called Cosmic Challenge. And what a challenge it must be because a few days later they had to adjust the difficulty in the second update. There are five missions each week, each throwing you into a tricky, hand-built scenario. Play through the challenges and you’ll be able to level up your ships by unlocking perks to upgrade them. A few UI tweaks round things out here.
My Little Pony: Mane ConnectionAre these new ponies catching on? I really don’t know. I guess they’d be fine. Children love magic ponies. So this update. It adds three new chapters to the story that you can play, a new endless mode for those who want it, a new mini-game to play when you need something to interrupt your usual business, and some new stickers for meetings. Certainly a big update and it’s hard to argue with that. I mean, you can argue with it, but you’ll look really stupid arguing with a mobile game update. People will stare. And them will be judge. you don’t want it. Just accept the update.
Royal matchFree And this is the must-have free update of the week in jigsaw puzzles, this time checked Royal match. This King Robert, people. It’s in every second ad I see in my other games. The thing is, this game has a serious rush. One hundred new levels to play, a new arcade room to explore, and some bug fixes and other improvements for you to enjoy. And in two weeks there will be another hundred levels. Sophisticated.
